HOP 177 observation, 28-31 March 2015

This EIS mapper page shows the Sun on 28-Mar at 12:00 UT with the EIS raster indicated. (You can use previous/next to flick between the four days of the observation, but they won't work outside this range.) There's an active region just to the north-east of the observation region.

EIS observation

HOP 177 was supported by EIS for the following periods with the study Large_CH_Map:

28-Mar-2015, 10:17 UT, 18 rasters (finished 04:52 UT)
29-Mar-2015, 06:25 UT, 21 rasters (finished 04:07 UT)
30-Mar-2015, 05:54 UT, 22 rasters (finished 04:38 UT)

I've fit the Fe XII 195 line with a Gaussian and created intensity and Dopplergrams for each of the rasters. I put the images together into a mp4 movie. Note that plume-like emission extends from the active region across quite a lot of the coronal hole area.

IRIS observation

The HOP was also supported by IRIS (planner: Gregal Vissers) for the following periods:

28-Mar-2015, 19:45 - 08:49 UT
30-Mar-2015, 01:29 - 13:15 UT

A large 63"x175" raster was performed, with 1" steps. The exposure time is 8s (giving 10min cadence) with x2 spatial and spectral binning.

SOT observation

SOT (planner: Alfred de Wijn) took full-FOV magnetograms (Na line) at 5-minute cadence for the following period:

28-Mar-2015, 10:00-05:59 UT
29-Mar-2015, 06:14-05:28 UT
30-Mar-2015, 05:43-16:30 UT

XRT observation

XRT (planner: Shin Ishikawa) alternated between Al/Poly and Ti/Poly for the following periods:

28-Mar-2015, 10:03-06:00 UT
29-Mar-2015, 06:17-05:28 UT
30-Mar-2015, 05:46-06:03 UT
31-Mar-2015, 06:20-10:26 UT
