Images & movies from EIS

This page contains links to images and movies from EIS that Dr Young has prepared.

Images

Images of a flaring loop at the limb.
Active region maps (intensity, velocity, line width)

Movies

Most EIS data are obtained with the narrow EIS slits by scanning over a spatial region multiple times. Stringing together the raster images allows movies to be made, but unfortunately the significant jitter that comes from both the satellite and instrument gives an unusual "wobbling jelly" effect.

Jelly movie 2 (19 frames)

Study: HH_AR+FLR_RAS_N01, 240"x240", 5s exposures, 29min duration

Jelly movie 3 (8 frames)
